Has everybody except me heard of this genious before? Obviously he has played a lot with all the big names. Funny I haven't noticed him before.

Anyhow, I heard some of his new solo album and it was great. Vinnie is on it... Check it out!

I have this CD and (IMO) it's great. Nice playing from everyone and good tunes, not just tunes built around someone's chops.

Bona is great.....Watching and listening to him, Metheny and Sanchez play Bright Size Life is about as good as it gets! Does anybody know what al;bum the music comes from that is on Richards opening page of his web site?

THat guy is uniquely gifted... He plays it all and plays it amazingly well! I have the Metheny Speaking Of Now DVD (2002) and Richard sings, plays percussion, guitar and ends the show with an amazing fretless bass solo on "Song For Bilbao"!!! INCREDIBLE!!!

BTW... Antonio is amazing on that DVD too...

I heard him live with the Mike Stern Quartet. While he had unbelievable chops I found his solos rather boring. I've been checking out Jonas Hellborg lately and find his playing much more interesting.
